This safari is full of excitement and spectacular views, taking you through lush forests and green meadows to dramatic landscapes and finally into the stunning caldera. If you’re visiting Tanzania for the first time, this tour will captivate you with its superb game viewing experience that includes northern safari activities. The Great Migration is a popular time for safari, but the calving season is particularly spectacular. The excitement of ravenous predators is matched by the delight of new calves. This time of year is ideal for getting up close and personal with nature’s splendors.
When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by a Genegio Tours & Safari guide before being driven to your hotel in Arusha, where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing before your safari in a few hours.
What a lovely morning in the city of Tourists! Following a delicious breakfast in your hotel, you will be picked up by your guide and driven to Tarangire National Park. This journey will take several hours, and you will have to enjoy the lovely scenery along the route. When you arrive at the park, you will check in at the entrance before we begin our game drive, which will go until late afternoon and include a picnic lunch in one of the park’s authorized sites.
After lunch and some downtime, you’ll return to the park for an afternoon game drive. The Tarangire River weaves its way through the parklands, attracting many different wildlife and allowing you the chance to see elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras. After all of the day’s activities, your guide will pick you up and transport you to a lodge for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.
A wonderful day begins in the morning! After a great breakfast in the early morning, your guide will pick you up and transport you to your next destination (the Ndutu region). This is another three-hour journey across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA). As you ascend towards Ndutu, you may observe the landscape fast transitioning from rolling forests to flat grasslands. Your next game drive will begin after you arrive at Ndutu. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch while admiring the park’s breathtaking scenery.
After lunch, you will continue your afternoon game drive through Ndutu’s lovely ecosystems. This area is located between Ndutu Lake and Lake Masek, making it a popular destination for travelers. The lakes are home to a large number of wildebeest as well as six different cat species: leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, serval, and wildcat. After all of your adventures, your guide will drive you to a lodge for a delicious meal and an overnight stay.
After a delectable breakfast at your lodge, you will be filled with anticipation as you drive to the world’s most famous national park, the Serengeti with your packed lunch boxes. Here you will find one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, living in the shade of enormous granite boulders rising from the grass. The grass will be teeming with new life at this time of year.
A picnic lunch in the park’s authorized location will break up a busy day of game drives. Following lunch, you will resume your afternoon game drive, looking for games that you did not witness in the morning. Later in the evening, your guide will drive you to a lodge for a delectable dinner and overnight stay.
What a beautiful morning! After a hearty breakfast at the resort, your guide will pick you up and bring you down to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater with your lunch boxes. The high rim creates a magnificent setting and attracts a large number of migratory animals. It is one of the world’s most densely inhabited African wildlife habitats, and it is home to some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos.
Because the high rim provides a haven for wildlife, expect a calmer mood and a dense population of different species here. In the afternoon, you will stop for a picnic lunch at Hippo Pool in the crater while admiring the park’s breathtaking vistas. After lunch, you’ll continue your game drive until late in the evening, when you’ll be driven back to your lodge for supper and an overnight stay.
It’s time to say goodbye to Tanzania’s wilderness. Your guide will pick you up after breakfast and drive you to Arusha. When you arrive in Arusha, enjoy your lunch before being escorted to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
