What a fantastic morning in the Serengeti National Park’s vast plains! Following a delicious breakfast in your lodge, your guide will pick you up and take you on a game drive across the park. Depending on the season, you may even be able to watch the big migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thompson gazelles.
During the short-wet season in October and November, you can usually observe these herds traveling from Kenya’s Masai Mara via the Serengeti’s northwest to the plains in the south. After the major wet season in April, May, and June, the herds slowly migrate back across the Serengeti’s western and northwestern regions. In the afternoon, you will stop for a picnic lunch in one of the designated areas before continuing your afternoon wildlife drive.
Your guide will do everything possible to locate the animals and ensure that you can see them from the best location in the national park. After the events of the day, your guide will drive you back to your lodge for a delectable meal and an overnight stay.
