Pick up at Kilimanjaro and transfer to Arusha

The first phrase you'll hear when you arrive at the airport is "KARIBU TANZANIA" which is Swahili for "Welcome to Tanzania." A Genegio tour and safari guide will meet you at the Kilimanjaro International airport and take care of all the formalities before driving you to a hotel in the city of Arusha, where you can unwind, take in the city's stunning views, and get a good night's sleep while you wait for your safari to begin in a few hours.

Day 1
Arusha to Manyara National park

What a great day to start your exploration! After a hearty breakfast and a briefing from your tour guide, we will depart Arusha and head to Lake Manyara with our packed lunches. En route, you'll get to see some beautiful countryside. The majority of the park's total land area is occupied by the lake. Numerous species of animals, including the Big Five such as lions, elephants, leopards, rhinoceroses, and buffalo are supported by the diverse ecosystem. Along the lakeshore, there are also open grasslands, acacia trees, and groundwater forests.

In the afternoon, you'll pause for a picnic lunch in a designated place and take in the breathtaking views of the park. Take another game drive through the park, which is well-known for its elusive tree-climbing lions that reside in the forest between the lake and the Rift Valley. Drive while keeping an eye out for buffalo, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys during the game. You may find more than 400 different species of birds, making it a paradise for them. Following all of the day's excursions, your tour guide will take you to a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Manyara National park to Serengeti National Park

What a wonderful day! After a sumptuous breakfast in your lodge, your guide will drive you to Serengeti National Park via the lovely high-lying farms of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As we leave the highlands behind, we continue our journey into the Serengeti National Park, Africa's heartland, with its boundless grasslands that stretch as far as the eye can see. You will embark on a wildlife drive once you reach the Serengeti and continue until mid-afternoon before stopping for lunch.

You'll continue your game drive along the plains in search of a more large game after eating and taking a little break. After all of your excursions, your guide will transfer you to a lodge in Serengeti for a delicious meal and an overnight stay.

Day 3
Serengeti Central

What a beautiful day, with birds luring us through an African grassland. An African breakfast will be served early in the morning, followed by a full-day game drive in the famous Serengeti, where you may see many animals in the endless plains.

In the afternoon, you'll stop for a picnic lunch, relax for a while, and then resume your game viewing while keeping an eye out for wild animals. Herbivores such as wildebeest, zebra, impala, gazelles, and many others share the Serengeti's water and short grass. The presence of a large number of herbivores attracts large predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, to name a few. Following the day's adventure, your guide will drive you to a lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Another early start, but we guarantee it will be rewarding. Your guide will pick you up and take you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area after a sumptuous breakfast. Olduvai Gorge may be of interest to historians and archaeologists because it contains some of the earliest known humans remains.

We continue to learn about the origins of Homo sapiens from the region that our genetic ancestors lived in roughly two million years ago. We can also stop by the Maasai Boma to see how they live and enjoy real African culture. After lunch, we resume our trip while taking pictures of the beautiful views from the rim of the Ngorongoro crater. After the day's activities are completed, your guide will transfer you to a lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire

Today will also be a quick start, as you'll depart after a delicious breakfast for a Crater tour. We'll stop along the way to see a traditional Maasai hamlet, enjoy some traditional dancing, and get a sense of life on the African plains. Then we descend to the crater's floor in search of more major games.

On the crater floor, at one of the many options near the Hippo Pool, you will enjoy your picnic lunch in the late afternoon. After we finish the day's activities, we will leave the crater and your guide will drive you to a lodge in Tarangire National Park for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6
Tarangire National Park to Arusha

What a wonderful day it is, and as usual, the best came last. We begin our final game drive across the Tarangire National Park after a hearty breakfast. The largest animals on earth, African elephants are well-known and commonly spotted in Tarangire. The park is also dotted with the well-known Baobab trees, which resemble shrubs. Enjoy your lunch boxes in a specially designated area of Tarangire National Park in the afternoon. We will begin our drive back to Arusha after we have spent a couple of hours touring around Tarangire. Enjoy your dinner and overnight to your lodge in Arusha before departing for the Zanzibar Island trip the next day.

Day 7
Arusha Airport to Zanzibar

Today is your last day in Tanzania mainland, after a delicious breakfast you may decide whether to take a quick town tour or visit the Maasai market to browse and perhaps even make a few purchases. After that, you'll fly from Arusha Airport to Zanzibar. When you arrive in Zanzibar, one of our guides will welcome you and transfer you to a lodge where you will spend a night and have a lavish dinner.

Day 8
Cultural Excursions in Zanzibar

What a beautiful day it is on Spice Island! Following a sumptuous breakfast, your tour guide will lead you through Zanzibar's Stone Town. There are many things to do, such as tours to the spice and prison islands. You will see the most scenic parts of the Old Town on a full-day tour. The name of this town with a rich cultural history originated from the use of coral stone as the main building material.

Being the oldest town in all of East Africa, the roots and repercussions of history can be felt at every stop along the way. Later on, in the day, you'll stop for lunch to experience authentic Swahili cuisine. With the House of Wonders, one of Stone Town's well-known attractions, as your starting point, you will go to the Palace Museum, which was Sultan's palace, after lunch.

Among the many attractions in this beautiful town are Fred Mercury's house, the Dr. Livingstone House, the Arab Fort, and the Hamamni Persian Baths. Following all of the excursions, your guide will take you to a lodge where you will spend the night and have dinner.
